Music is an integral part of today's Liturgy. The primary focus of the Saint Francis of Assisi Music Ministry is to support the assembly at liturgy in the singing of the hymns and responses, and to lift their hearts and minds through the great tradition and heritage of music that belongs to the Church.
Instrumentalists, cantors, choirs, and directors are all necessary parts of our Worship experience. Through a creative Vision for the music progam, liturgical music will continue to have an important place in our celebration of the Eucharist.
"As you well know, the spirit of our Catholic liturgy is the spirit of music and song. To give glory and praise to the living God, human speech alone can only take us so far. Words alone can never be enough. We need to pay Him homage with songs of joy and with instruments made for praises." -Bishop James D. Conley
